Stay Forever
Georgia Hart
04 September - 08 September 2025

British Canadian artist Georgia Hart paints entirely with knives. Georgia brings a contemporary lens to a traditional subject; reimagining landscape painting through an emotive and tactile visual language. At the heart of her paintings is a quiet insistence: that what is momentary can be felt beyond its moment.
Georgia’s work captures the tension between the fleeting and the eternal, offering glimpses of the world as it passes and persists.
Georgia’s fifth solo show ’Stay Forever’ is particularly personal; a reflection on place, memory, and transformation. Texture becomes a conduit for memory and emotion, and the paint itself begins to suggest a kind of pseudo-sense. Through vast horizons, rugged terrain, and luminous skies, Georgia seeks to preserve moments in time, exploring how the natural world can serve as both mirror and metaphor.
Through layered oil textures and nuanced, shifting colour, Georgia distils the world around her, allowing otherwise vanishing sensations to linger just a little longer. Moments of light and motion are held, impossibly, in place. For Georgia, the natural world is both transitory and enduring: held just on the edge of change, suspended in a moment that might, perhaps, stay forever.
Please check the flyer for opening times. An opening night will take on place on 04 September from 6 pm - 9 pm.
